Hidden in Hells Kitchen lies Smash Studios. Stars like David Bowie, Beyonce, The Strokes, and other big name artists come here to practice their music. Channeling being rockstars ourselves (Sydney has recently taken up drums), we decided to take a little visit and jam out for the day. Both wearing leather, we felt hardcore enough to walk the hallways and ask for a room. Once inside, we just couldn't help ourselves trying to play the instruments provided to us. Basically, it just sounded like a hot mess! ....But we looked really cool doing it.

Highline

Photographed by JD Santo

Sydney: McQ by Alexander McQueen coat and top, Hue leggings, Joie shoes

Amy: Ryu Coat, French Connection top, Forever21 shorts, Guess boots

For this weeks post we had a couple ideas of what we wanted to do. The weather called for rain, but when we woke up it was beautiful so we decided to head to the Highline. This was the first time our wonderful photographer had been to the Highline since moving to New York, so it made the outing that much more fun! We snacked on brownies and iced tea and took in the warm sun. In case you are unaware, the Highline used to be a railway populated by homeless people and drug addicts (which could've been fun in its own right). Now, it is a paved walkway/park that leads you from the Meatpacking district to Chelsea. Towering over the southern most part of the Highline is the Standard Hotel. Although quite sceney, it's always a fun place to stop by on a nice day to take in the views with a drink in hand.
