Underground

Photographed by: JD Santo

Sydney: Rubbish jacket, H.I.P top, J Brand jeans, Civic Duty shoes

Amy: Flea Market Find jacket, Lucca Couture top, Bar III leggings, Guess shoes, RayBan glasses

Since new yorkers are notorious for always being in a rush, we often times don't notice the hidden treasures of the city. We set off for an adventure underground to seek out some interesting subway art. Mapping our way through Queens, Brooklyn and Midtown we were pretty successful in our endeavors.

Apt 18

New York apartments often fall into two extremes, ridiculously trendy or you have a random toilet in the middle of your living room (if you have a living room). On this particular day, we happened to be at our friends "way cooler than yours" apartment in the West Village. The apartment is designed with a very minimalist look so our outfits became a nice contrast against the bare aesthetic. So here's a shout out to our friend in Apt #18 for letting us photo raid his place.

New Yorker

Photographed by: JD Santo
Makeup Featured: Ardency Inn lipstick in Lovecat

Sydney: DKNY coat, Asos dress, Derek Lam shoes, Coach bag, Michael Kors watch, Tiffanys bracelet

Amy: Free People dress, Anthropologie necklace, Carlos shoes, Vintage clutch

We went back to the place we first met, The New Yorker Hotel. Every night we would end up at Tick Tock diner ordering cajun waffle fries before we dragged ourselves up to our rooms. Our typical evening routine consisted of watching the strangest people arriving to and departing from the hotel...including ourselves. Taking a tour around the surrounding area we found ourselves on the roof of a nearby friend's apartment. Nothing beats towering among the skyscrapers of New York in little dresses, high heels, and red lipstick.

Snow Day

Photographed by: JD Santo

On Sydney: Gap top, Joe’s Jeans, McQ by Alexander McQueen Coat, Chelsea Crew shoes
On Amy: Zara top, Zara pants, Ralph Lauren sunglasses, Andrew Marc coat, Zara shoes, Coach bag

Taking advantage of the blizzard aftermath we took off for a stroll in Central Park. Usually people in the city walk around with the weight of the world on their shoulders, but today everyone was reverting back to their childhood energy playing in the snow. Our typical New York black outfits now actually popped against the powder white landscape. We guess blizzards have their upsides.
