Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn bridge is a magical place. A place that makes steel and wire look as beautiful as a secret garden. Strolling down the wooden planks it's hard not to think of all the romantic exchanges that must have taken place here. Hundreds of locks with engravings of love and little poems written in marker make you feel all warm inside. New York, we love you.

Mr.Rex

Sydney: Forever 21 top, Express jeans, H&M shoes, flea market sunnies

Amy: H&M sweater, Tinsel jeans, Kelly and Katie boots, Rebecca Minkoff bag, H&M hat

In an attempt to go shopping at a local flea market we found ourselves on the West side only to find it's only open on Sundays. Womp womp. Luckily, we were right next to the Museum of Natural History. Why not learn something and make ourselves useful? So we did. And we learned everything.

Me and my B**** took a little trip down to the Gardens

Sydney: Annelore top, Earl Jeans shorts

Amy: Nasty Gal Dress, Urban Outfitters plaid shirt

Now that summer is coming to an end we are back in action. And what better way to end a great season than with a little trip to the Central Park Conservatory. J Cole said it best in Forbidden Fruit. We took a little trip, did a little dip but sadly we had no apple juice...so we opted for ice cream bars instead.

Cheap-o

Sydney: Joie Dress, Rubbish shirt, Sam Edelman Shoes (Thank you, KV), Purse from China Town, Michael Kors Watch, Swarovski ring

So I am really cheap. I really like it when I don't have to spend a lot of money. Sometimes I think this is probably annoying for people, but whatever - long hair don't care, please see the above dress which I picked up at a recent Joie sample sale for all of $25. When you are 24yo living in Manhattan, cheap is all you can afford. So lets not stop at the dress, folks. Please also see the above purse. Thanks to a recent long weekend in which our photographer and I found ourselves confused as to what to do with our extra day of freedom, I found myself in China Town looking for who knows what when I stumbled across this purse in one of the standard China Town bodegas. "Louis Vuitton, Chanel" the aggressive man yelled at me. But no, I didn't need his scary back room purses. I saw this bad boy hanging, brand free, and I knew it was fate. "Um, I don't know, sir, but how much is this one?" "Ummm $20," he sweetly replied. I knew I could negotiate, but I was lazy. "Well, alright cool I want it," I said, and then it was mine.  Point is, if you are committed you can find some really cool stuff for cheap, and that's great news for those of you like me who like the finer things but don't feel like paying for them (awkward wink + thumbs up ). K cool, peace out!

Snakeskin

Amy: Nasty Gal crop top, Nanette Lepore skirt, Kelsi Dagger shoes

Between summer and my new found Nasty Gal obsession, I can't stop with the crop tops. I think it is just the right amount of sexy when paired with something high-waisted. I purchased this skirt when I was in the Hamptons and love the colorful printed snakeskin. It's just the kind of piece my wardrobe needed....considering most of my clothing is monochromatic. I'm naturally drawn to black/solids but now that summer is in full swing and the city is alive again, I needed some color in my life.
